Essendon assistant coach – and former Gold Coast coach – Guy McKenna is keen to take the helm of an AFL club again, despite a tumultuous end to his tenure at the Suns which saw him step away from the league for a year.
McKenna, who now leads the Bombers’ midfield group, is confident he can take on another senior coaching role.
“Would I love to be a senior coach again? Yes I would,” McKenna told EON Sports Radio’s The Final Bell.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a burning ambition of mine, but if it comes around, it comes around.
“If it doesn’t happen, it’s not like I’m going to lose any sleep over it and I’m certainly not going to lose any confidence over it.”
