Australia tennis great Todd Woodbridge believes Bernard Tomic is on his way out of the world’s top 100 and only he can help himself get out of this current rut.
Woodbridge, who won 22 Doubles Grand Slams, doesn’t think Tomic can win a game on clay and will struggle to perform at Wimbledon in July.
Having been left out of the Davis Cup team to face USA this week, Woodbridge implores Tomic to find purpose in his tennis career, or he’ll only continue to go downhill.
“If you put in Bernard at his best and Nick at his best, then boy we do have a team we will win the Davis Cup with,” Woodbridge told EON Sports Radio.
“But at the moment, he’s in trouble … and he may not win a match until June.
“There’s only one person who can turn this around and that’s Bernard.”
